Spring Break

This is so cool. I finally figured out how to get music on my blog thanks to Annaclaires Jie Jie. My blog is coming along!! :0)

So this week is spring break! Christopher is working with Dad every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and then he goes to baseball every Wednesday and Friday. Mom's making me work on English and Math this week because I'm behind but that's ok. It's really, really easy. Christopher got his permit on Friday. OH MY! He's a really good driver. I made him a cake as promised and since I nicknamed him BUCKY, I worte on it 'Congrats Bucky'. It tasted really good. :) Mom says that the longest we'll have to wait for Sarah's referral is August 2008!!!! That's waaayyy to long in my opinois, I prefer the shorter way, December of this year. Yeah that sounds better. My cousin cousin got a part in the CYT (Christian Youth Theater) play. I really hope I can go see it. Their doing the play GODSPELL. She's one of the schoolgirls. !!! I'm really proud of her.

Yeah rained all day and I think it's suppose to tonight. Ugh! :(

Another day of waiting

Today I was late for choir. I'm not sure if I wrote this in another post, but I'm homeschooled. Well mom let me sleep until 8 and then woke me up. Well I didn't get to bed until 1 AM this morning so I went back to sleep after she woke me up. So I was a little late, but I didn't get into any trouble. :p After choir we went grocery shopping and saw the one of the most beautiful/adorable Chinese babies I have seen. Her hair was black and straight and short. And her eyes were about as big as my cats.

A few weeks ago Jonah got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and they're still living! :0)On March 10th I had a choir contest. WE GOT A FIRST AND WE'RE GOIN GTO STATE! My choir director is really happy. She says it's the first time the band (she's also the band director) and the choir got into state. The state contest is April 28. I'm sooooooo excited. Mom got an email for all homeschooled teens, something about a Murder Mystery Dinner Dance. It sounds pretty interesting, Mom emailed the head of it asking about it, like where it is and stuff. Christopher started Drivers Ed today :O. With him being really sick yesterday I'm wondering if he'll get his permit or not. I do know that if he does tomorrow I'm going to make a cake.

My New Hobby (Sorta)

I just discovered a new hobby of mine. Well I discovered it a few months ago, but didn't have a blog going, so I'll tell you about it. I really like to paint wood. I'm really good at it too (not to brag)! I painted a lighthouse picture frame for Mom for her birthday. It's not until May but it's nice to have something done. I went to the library today and got two more books. Your probably thinking "AGAIN?" yeah get use to it. I really like the library.

Forgot I Did Not

Don't worry I didn't forget about this blog, I just havn't been able to think of anything to post. So I'll catch you up on somethings. It looks like its possible that we won't be getting Sarah until April of 2008. :( We may get her at the end of this year, but I don't see that happening right now. Yesterday Mom, my little brother, and I went to the Library and I got the book The Diary of a Young Girl a biography on Anne Frank. I've just been flipping through it and reading entries that catch my eye. It's so cool how they turned her diary into a book. I definatly recommend the movie and this book. Your public library most likely has it. I'm also reading the second book in the Jannete Oke series, Love's Enduring Promise. It's about as good as the movie. If you havn't caught it yet I'll tell you now. I love to read. This morning Dad was online and he did that thing with the town in Alaska, to see if he can buy some land up there. HE WANT'S TO MOVE TO ALASKA! Personally? I really do not want to move up there. I like Illinois and the town I live in. At around noon I'm going shopping with my grandma and mom. We're going to Michaels and Sears. If anyone can help me I'd like to know how to change the border to a different style. I've checked the other borders and I can't find any of the ones that I've seen on other blogs. If someone can tell me how they got theirs I'd really appriciate it. Well tatta for now!

7 Months 2 Days

So its been 7 months and 2 days since our LID (Long In Date). Mom got this new book- The ABC Herbal- and since I'm sick she's having a lot of fun trying things on me. :( I had to drink this tea that had garlic in it. Really bad!!! I just finished a book called Safe House. Totally recommend it. It's by Meg Cabot and it's apart of her series 1-800 Where-R-You. It was really good.

How My Life Changed Forever

Ever since I realized that I would be living with my two brothers for the rest of my life, I've wanted a little sister. Every birthday I would blow out my candles wishing for a sister. Every Christmas when we had to write a letter Santa during school (even though I didn't believe in him)I would still ask for a little sister, and a dog or a cat. Now don't get me wrong there are many advantages to having two brothers. But being the only girl AND stuck in the middle, the disadvantages can really show sometimes. I love my brothers very much, but they can be a pain. I'm 13 years old and my family is adopting a little girl from China! We made this wonderful decision on October 3, 2005. On October 10, 2005, October 14, 2005, and October 23, 2005 we told the rest of the family about it. They were so happy!! Time went by and papers and applications were filled out and an apointment for meeting our social worker was made. We waited for our Dossier and our I171-H to come and then be mailed out. Getting anxious every second, everyday, every month. Still getting anxious. Everything has been mailed out and we're just waiting, waiting, and waiting. It's been about 3 years now. A whole 3 years!!! We're all so anxious and want it to happen right now. Mom say's that hopefully Sarah's (my little sister) referral will come by October of this year and then we'll be going to China in December. That seems far away but I know it will go fast. Hopefully.
